The short version
Momentum is a personal tool that reads your Google Calendar and helps you start your day. Your data never leaves your device. We have no server, no database, no analytics, and no way to see your information even if we wanted to.
What we access from Google
  • ✦Calendar events — read-only. We look at today's events to build your daily view. We cannot create, edit, or delete anything.
  • ✦Birthdays calendar — read-only. To show you who to wish today.
  • ✦Your name — so we can greet you by name.
  • ✗We do not access your Gmail or email content.
  • ✗We do not access your Google Contacts.
  • ✗We do not access your Google Drive.
  • ✗We do not store your access token after your session ends.
How AI wish messages work
When Momentum generates a birthday or anniversary message, it sends only the person's name and the occasion type (e.g. "Birthday") to the AI. No other calendar data, no event details, no personal information travels with that request.
Each message is generated fresh — we don't store previous messages or build a profile of who you're wishing.
AI generation is powered by Anthropic's Claude. You can read Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
Data storage
None. Momentum has no backend server and no database. Everything runs entirely in your browser. When you close the app, all data is gone. Nothing is persisted, logged, or transmitted to any server we control.
Your tasks, intentions, and notes exist only in your browser session. This is a feature, not a limitation — it means there is nothing to breach.

Revoking access
You can revoke Momentum's access to your Google account at any time:
Since we store nothing, there is nothing to delete on our end. Revoking access in Google is complete and immediate.
Our pledge to you
Momentum will never sell your data. It will never show you ads. It will never use your calendar information to train AI models. It will never share anything about you with any third party beyond what is described above.

This is a tool built on trust. If that ever changes, we will tell you clearly before it changes — and you will always be free to leave.
